Vicente Padilla (6-4, 3.96 ERA) faces Mat Latos (13-5, 2.25 ERA)
Padilla would be making his first start since going on the DL with a bulging disc in his neck on Aug. 16. He made one rehab start on Aug. 30 and threw a strong bullpen session on Sept. 1. He’s allowed the Padres two runs in 13 innings this season.
